A crayfish party, at which people gather to eat crayfish, drink aquavit and sing drinking songs, is a typically Swedish festivity marking the end of summer. Intrigued by this yummy and rather quirky tradition? Then why don't you join the American Swedish Historical Museum and the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce at the Museum on Friday August 18th at 6:30 pm for our annual Crayfish Party!

Enjoy a buffet of crayfish along with Swedish meatballs, potatoes, cheese pies, crisp bread, cheese, and a glass of aquavit all outside under our beautiful lighted and decorated tent overlooking the beautiful scenery of FDR Park. This year we have also included a few Finnish delicacies to our feast, including home-baked rye bread, cucumber salad and delicious cookies.

Tickets are $50 for ASHM and SACC Philadelphia members, and $60 for non-members. Register by phone at (215) 389-1776 or online at www.americanswedish.org by August 14th.
