The Financial District Lions Club “FiDi Lions Club” brings classical music to downtown Manhattan with the goal to send a message of “Peace & Unity” to communities worldwide, as a tribute to the First Responders who worked at Ground Zero on 9/11.

In keeping with the LIONS* motto “Peace and International Understanding” this free concert will bring diverse cultures together through live music, sharing an afternoon of peace and harmony, regardless of religion, race and political views.

Bring a chair or lie on the lawn under a beautiful sky graced with the Statue of Liberty as your background, and relax to the sound of classical arias and Broadway musicals, performed by Lions professional International Opera Singers, sending a message of liberty and hope for peace around the world.

The concert will open with a performance of “God Bless America” in tribute to this great country the United States of America, where life, liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness are every human being's rights!

*LIONS stand for “Liberty, Intelligence, and Our Nations’ Safety”. Financial District (FIDI) Lions Club is a New York charter of Lions Clubs International “LIONS”, world’s largest not-for-profit NGO founded in 1917 to help communities in need, when the USA entered into war. Since then Lions' 1.4 million members volunteer and serve their communities in over 210 countries.
