Mark the Winter Solstice at American Swedish Institute!

This is the special moment and global turning point when the earth's tilt brings the shortest day and longest night of the year.

Dress to enjoy the ASI's magical winter courtyard and cuddle up next to a bonfire.

Catch a pop-up performance of the theatre group Impossible Salt as they share their new musical story, the Wise One, based on a Norwegian folk tale.

Enjoy family handcraft activities and take a self-guided tour of the Turnblad Mansion's Fest! Merry Mansion decorated holiday rooms.

Meet Norwegian photographer Per Breiehagen with his family of writer Lori Evert and their daughter Anja, who is photographed in the books, who created the New York Times Bestselling photographic series The Christmas Wish! They will be on hand to sign all six of their Nordic fairy tale books.

FIKA Café will be open and offering a festival menu of small plates, wine, beer, cocktails and glögg - our signature and delicious Swedish mulled wine.

The ASI Museum Store and Jul Shop are also open late for all of your last minute gift-giving and decorating needs!
