The Swedish Christmas season begins with the observance of St. Lucia Day and this beautiful festival of light. Our procession is led by Lucia who is crowned with candles and dressed in white in a celebration of light in the dark winter days. She is accompanied by attendants, each carrying a candle, as well as starboys (tärnor), gingerbread boys (pepparkaksgubbar) and elves (tomtenissar).
Hear the story and beautiful music of the Swedish celebration of Decenber 13th St. Lucia Day. Join the traditional dancing around the Christmas tree. Visit with Santa. Enjoy coffee and treats following.
