Preview Party: The Vikings Begin

The Vikings are coming ... collection of 1400-year-old artifacts from the early Viking Age is traveling from Scandinavia to Minneapolis.

Be there on the opening night of the highly anticipated exhibit, The Vikings Begin. In addition to being the Midwest premiere of the exhibition, the preview party also includes:

Mini lectures by Neil Price, professor from Uppsala University (and researcher behind many of the new findings on Viking society) and Icelandic Saga scholar Gísli Sigurðsson from the University of Iceland, Reykjavik

Mead tastings with Urban Forage Winery and Cider House

Skål songs and spontaneous Viking long dances led by Kari Tauring

Live ale bowl turning with local woodturner Nate White – watch him work and buy a bowl to drink beer out of!

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the event is 7-10 p.m.
