Comin' to Amerika

During this 2-day summer camp young people experience what it may have been like to be an immigrant “Comin’ to Amerika” in the mid 1800s.
Youth will assume Swedish names and homeland identities as they prepare to make their passage to America. They will put together passports, make their way through Ellis Island and create a lifestyle with make-shift homes & families.
This year, Gammelgården’s 2018 focus on Folk Art will give them an opportunity to try their hand at one or two crafts as they prepare for their very own Territorial Folk Art Fair. New and exciting challenges, twists and turns inspire youth to “come to America” with us every year!

$35 members / $40 non-members, registration deadline is July 15 (to register, you must fill out the online registration and pay the fee)
