Choirs and orchestra from Karlstad, Sweden perform at Pine City, Rush City, and Chisago City in July
East Central Minnesota—Two Swedish choirs and an orchestra from the Karlstad area of Sweden are touring Minnesota during the beginning of July this summer. They will perform at three locations in the We R Able service area: Thursday, July 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pine City Senior Center, Friday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rush City Community Center, and Monday, July 9 at 1 p.m. at the Vitalize Wellness Centre and Studios of Art in Chisago City. They will sing and play a variety of songs and tunes from their Swedish repertoire.

The concerts are open to the public and donations are cheerfully accepted. If guests choose to eat lunch at the senior centers pre-registration is required one week in advance. These events are sponsored by each host site and We R Able, which serves adults with disabilities in the Pine City, Rush City, North Branch, and Chisago Lakes school districts and each of the concert venues.
