A ski race shouldn’t be always a grueling test of endurance. Vasaloppet USA offers races that are long enough to give skiers a great sense of accomplishment, but on a course that doesn’t punish you.

It’s fast, and maybe one of the best times on skis you’ll have this winter.

Skiers can choose 58km Freestyle, 35km Freestyle, a 42km Classic, a 13km freestyle or a 13km TeamLoppet. You’ll start in the northern regions of Kanabec County in Minnesota (the 13km race begins at Knife Lake) and everyone finishes on mainstreet in downtown Mora, MN.

After the race enjoy an adult beverage or a soft drink along with food in the race Celebration Tent or the traditional skiers lunch at the high school cafeteria.

On Sunday the activities continue with the Miniloppet children’s race, Skijoring race, and new this year: a Fat Tire bike race.

No matter what your choices are for race day, you’ll experience the well-known hospitality and volunteer spirit of the Mora community.
