Moberg Emigrant Novels Book Club
The Emigrants is the collective name of a series of four novels by the Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg. The novels are generally considered to be among the best pieces of Swedish literature. A main part of the story takes place in the Chisago County area. The main characters in the books are Karl Oskar and Kristina Nilsson.
We are forming a book club to study the emigrant series by Vilhelm Moberg and then be able to discuss them in a way that relates to our culture and community.
The organization and introduction meeting is on April 4 at Wildcat Center, Community Center, Chisago Lakes High School in Lindstrom.
The membership is free. All are welcome.
