The Swedish cartoon festival features radical New York poet and philosopher Giannina Braschi and cartoonist Joakim Lindengren in a talk about their collaboration, United States of Banana
Their comic book riffs on Donald Trump, Obama and the end of the American empire.
PEN American Center calls Braschi, "one of the most revolutionary voices in Latin American literature today." She holds a PhD in Golden Age Spanish literature and publishes on Cervantes, Garcilaso, and Lopez de Vega. Her own literary works are available in Swedish by the publisher Tranan.
