With traditional and modern Swedish songs as their travel companion, the Swedish folk and country duo Blue Eyed Blondes is on tour to retrace their roots and a family history of immigration. The Blue Eyed Blondes seek to explore common factors between the past and the present and tell stories about Swedish immigrants’ life changing journeys.

Their music expresses restlessness, a longing for a home and the courage to follow a dream of a new life lived somewhere else.

Lina Lönnberg and Kristoffer Emanuelsson, making their first visit to the Midwest, founded Blue Eyed Blondes in 2008. They have performed at a variety of locations and venues over the years, playing stripped-down acoustic music, influenced by old-time, Swedish folk, gospel and bluegrass traditions. At the center of their music are good stories and soulful voices, accompanied by guitar, banjo, harmonica and accordion.
