Glögg, mulled wine, is a vital part of the Christmas season for Swedes. Join us for a fun competition to see who really has the best glögg in Chicago!

Those wishing to compete should reserve their space and get contest rules. We will accept 10 applicants, based on date of entry, completed information and past participation, if applicable. There is no admission fee for approved applicants.

You will be asked to bring a minimum of 4 liters (one gallon) of your pre-made glögg in a thermos or crockpot. There will be limited stove availability to rewarm your entry, and you will be able to arrive one hour before the start of the contest to ensure ample time for set-up.

During the taste contest, glögg will be scored based on taste, color, aroma and overall quality. Participants/judges will go around with a card to rank each glögg on these four areas. The cards will be collected and non-partial judges will tally the results to determine the winner.

To sign up to judge the mulled wine as a taster, purchase taster tickets online or at the museum.
$20/includes sandwiches and samples from all our competing glögg masters.
Prepaid and confirmed tickets are required and no refunds available for cancellations within 5 days of event.
