Midsommarfest is Chicago's annual summer street festival in Andersonville, now in its 53rd year.

Along Clark Street, just north of Foster Avenue, the Swedish American Museum in Andersonville is participating in the traditional Midsommarfest celebration. The museum is also presenting several musical performances on its Swedish Stage and encourage crowd members to join the traditional dance around the majstång.

Admission to the museum is FREE all three days.

Each year, nearly 50,000 people flock to Clark Street from Foster to Catalpa for two days of music, dancing, kids' entertainment and delicious food. Vendors from around the region sell their wares to passers-by, while ethnic dance troupes and cutting-edge bands keep the party going.
