Sacramento Scandinavian Festival (Canceled)

The 37th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival scheduled for April 18, 2020 is canceled.

In response to the public health and safety concerns related to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 37th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival scheduled for April 18 has been canceled. President Trump invoked the Stafford Act and declared a national emergency regarding COVID-19, and the California governor's March 11 decree coordinated with state and local public health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to recommend cancellation or postponement of public and private events with an expected attendance of more than 100 people in order to implement social distancing and limit large gatherings. We are following that guidance.

While we are sad to announce this cancelation, we do so for the well-being of our community, guests, volunteers and committee staff. We thank you for your continued support and your understanding during these tumultuous times.

We hope to see you next year for the 38th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
