In 1898, Swedish immigrant Olaf Ohman discovered a Viking runestone near Kensington, Minnesota, the type carved by Vikings as they explored in early centuries.
Is this an authentic Viking runestone created on an early Viking exploration of Midwest America or is this a hoax?
Were Vikings in North America long before other explorers and did they leave this message for us?
The 202 pound Kensington Runestone has been analyzed, researched, viewed and debated in Sweden and the U.S. and is now resting in a museum in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Lois and Steve Schreiter will share their knowledge of the discovery and legend of the Kensington Runestone to help you decide the answer to those questions -- and enjoy coffee following the presentation.

Redemption Lutheran Church is at 4057 N. Mayfair Rd. in Wauwatosa, WI
(Hwy. 100, just north of Capitol Dr.)
