The first weekend in July was certainly hot in the Superettan, where referees handed out four red cards and 33 yellows in just seven matches. The 1-1 draw between Östers and Mjällby saw the most fireworks as referee Tobias Mattson sent off one player from each team while handing out 14 yellow cards. Ingmar Teever saw red for Mjällby in the 60th minute while Mattson sent off Johan Persson in the 85th minute. Each side received seven yellow cards apiece. As for the scoring, Marcelo Sarvas put Mjällby on top in the 15th minute. Östers grabbed an equalizer thanks to an own goal in the 76th minute. League-leading Norrköping had a much easier time in its 3-2 road win over Jönköping Sodra. Stefan Thordarsson and Bruno Santos combined to give Peking a 2-0 early in the second half. Thordarsson tallied off a Santos pass in the 54th minute while Santos scored off a feed from Thordarsson 10 minutes later. Axel Norderyd made the score 2-1 when he tallied in the 68th minute. Peking then made a rare mistake, handing Jönköping an equalizer in the 76th minute with an own goal. Norrköping captain Daniel Bamberg scored the game winner three minutes later. The match featured just five yellow cards. The victory gave Norrköping 35 points as Peking continued to bull its way back to the Allsvenskan. Norrköping has yet to lose in 13 matches, going 11-2-0. Åtvidaberg knocked off Falkenberg 3-0 to move into second place in a match that also featured five yellow cards. Tommy Thelin scored twice for Åtvidaberg, which also got a goal from Kristian Bergström. Sundsvall moved into third place – level on points with Åtvidaberg with 23 – with a 2-1 win over Degerfors. Arash Bayat and Johan Pettersson scored in a 90-second span in the second half to give Sundsvall a 2-0 lead. Anderson Nano Garcia made it 2-1 with his third goal of the season in the 79th minute. The teams combined for five yellow cards. Ljungskile used a man advantage to top Landskrona 2-1 as David Leinar scored in the 91st minute, one minute after Amar Muharemovic received a red card. Andreas Kristoffersson gave Ljungskile the lead when he tallied in the 62nd minute. Mikael Dahlgren tied the game for Landskrona at the 70-minute mark. In addition the red card, Landskrona picked up two yellow cards, as did Ljungskile. Enköping and BK Häcken combined for six yellow cards and one red card in a match Enköping won 1-0. Sergly Mytin scored the lone goal in the 63rd minute. Robert Mambo-Mumba of Häcken received a red card in the 80th minute. In the tamest match of the weekend, IF Sylvia and Bunkeflo IF played to a 2-2 draw in a game that saw just one yellow card for each side. Jonas Björkholm put Sylvia in front after 12 minutes. Darko Marasovic tied the game two minutes later while Salif Jonsson put Bunkeflo in front in the 16th minute. Markus Hansson tied the score for Sylvia in the 64th minute. |
