New York-based filmmaker Petter Ringbom’s latest film is screened at Walter Read Theater, Lincoln Center as an official selection for the Sound + Vision Series in August. After the success of the 2012 documentary “The Russian Winter” Ringbom embarked on a journey to South Africa to explore and portray how artists have embraced and interpret twenty years of democracy. The new film by the director is a captivating narrative about freedom of expression after Apartheid.
The US premiere is on August 5 at 9 p.m. and will be followed by a Q&A with the Swedish born director and filmmaker.
