  • Caj Gustafsson’s contribution was unanimously voted the winner with the jury’s motivation: A snaps song by a sharp veteran who, with surgical precision, takes the art of singing at the table to new heights!

  • Snöpligt
    En svärdslukare har lagt svärdet
    på hyllan,
    En kväll, när han uppträdde, var
    han på fyllan.
    Han fumla’ med svärdet och
    nånting gick snett;
    nu sjunger han snapsvisorna
    i falsett.

  • Melody: Skånska slott och herresäten. (Simple, short melody. Google title/Edvard Persson to hear it online) or go to youtube: Edvard Persson - Skånska Slott och Herresäten

  • The second place at the championships saw another popular melody, this time the children’s song about a baker, En Sockerbagare.

  • En vän önskan
    En skål med godis mig inte lockar.
    En skål med popcorn där alla plockar
    – det vill jag verkligen inte ha!
    En skål med vänner – det ska det va!
    Skål!

    Melody: En sockerbagare

  • The Snapsvisa World Championship is a little bit smaller than baseball’s World Series although it includes two countries - Sweden and Finland - which have competed in newly written snapsvisor since 2001. The five main contributions from the Swedish championship meet the Finnish contributions in an exciting deal with individual and team competitions and even best group of fans. The organizer is Spritmuseum in Stockholm,
