The New Art Center, 580 Eighth Avenue and 38th Street. (near Times Square)

Opening reception, Thursday Nov 4, 6-8 PM

The exhibition juxtaposes and connects the worlds of the photographer M.E. Mousa - those of Finland, New York City and the Caribbean.

Mousa’s moving photographs fulfill one of the most important functions of the aesthetic experience, namely to arrange sensations in such a way so that they, in Roger Fry's words "arouse in us deep emotions, [through which] this feeling of a special tie with the man who expressed them becomes very strong."

The New Art Center exhibits and promotes the work of emerging and mid-career artists. More info: 212.354.2999
