Cultural Awardee Hanne Stovring
The funds raised in this event help support artists with ties to Scandinavia through its Cultural Grant Program. This year's cultural award recipient is Hanne Stovring. Hanne belongs to a young generation of painters of Bornholm, Denmark. Hanne is working for SMK — the Danish National Gallery in New York — where she's responsible for leading and developing AFSMK (American Friends of SMK), an organization and friendship scheme which aims to strengthen the ties between SMK and its American friends and audiences.

We asked Hanne to create something special for the Scandinavian Christmas Ball 2015. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on this at our silent auction.
