  • Get to know the beloved Swedish character Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking) at the American Swedish Historical Museum’s new exhibit, the Wonderful World of Pippi Longstocking. Enter the unique world of author Astrid Lindgren’s famous character Pippi Longstocking: explore Pippi’s house Villa Villekulla, play in her kitchen, become “thing finders” and discover weird and unique objects in Pippi’s cabinet of curiosities, dress up as new characters, and nuture a love of reading in the Astrid Lindgren Book Nook.

  • There’s also the updated Pippi Longstocking Museum Scavenger Hunt 2.0! Grab a treasure map and explore the museum to find the games Pippi has left behind. New activities include building a miniature log cabin, dressing up as a Colonial Swede, creating an invention, “fishing” for crayfish, and much more. Visit each room to collect special punch shapes and win the new Pippi treasure! This interactive treasure hunt is a fun way to engage the generations while learning about culture in a museum environment.
