That’s what calls this cake – the best cake in the world (världens godaste tårta). “You almost do yourself a disservice by inviting people over and serving them this cake,” the text continues. “Everyone will ask for the recipe and you’ll be asked to make the cake again and again.” All right, sounds like our kind of cake already.
Here’s the recipe:

8 oz confectioner’s sugar
75 g butter
5 eggs
6 oz flour
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
4 Tablespoons milk
8 oz sugar
1.5 cups heavy cream
8.4 cups strawberries.

Preheat oven to 390 F.
Butter an oven paper.
Mix confectioner’s sugar and butter.
Separate yolks and whites. Add the egg yolks to the sugar and butter mixture. Mix flour and baking powder and add this and milk to the butter mixture. Spread the mixture over the buttered oven paper.
Beat the egg whites and the sugar to a meringue batter and spread this on top of the other batter. Put everything in the oven for 20 minutes.
Let the cake cool, then divide it in half lengthwise.
Whip the heavy cream and put it and the strawberries in between the layers. Garnish with the rest of the cream and the strawberries.
Serve! Eat! Enjoy! Relax! Repeat!
