• For the first time, the White Guide, a source foodies read to find the best places to dine, has named the best cafes in areas off the usual tourist list. After 450 anonymous visits were made to name the top 21 cafes in Sweden, places like Sigtuna and Falkenberg are the stars of this year’s award, announced on May 8. If you worry you won’t have time to try them all, Stockholm is still a sure bet with seven out of the 21 cafes located in the country’s capital. Our own favorite, Vetekatten at Kungsgatan/Gamla Brogatan in Stockholm lists as No. 2 in the list of champions after RC Chocolat in Sigtuna, a half hour from Stockholm.
