The Beaver Creek Reserve in Falls Creek, Wisconsin is just 12 miles outside of Eau Claire. Featured Saturday morning speaker this year is Lars Walker, author of “Erling’s World,” “Wolf Time,” “The Year of the Warrior,” and “Blood and Judgment.” His presentation is called, “The Two Olafs,” and will focus on an alternate history of Norway. Besidesd lectures there are discussions, films, music, knitting, wood carving, band weaving, and winter recreation such as ax casting and kick sled races.
All are welcome to attend.
Norden Folk sponsors the retreat. There is a very modest fee to attend, which includes meals, the programs and less than excellent but memorable bunk beds.
