Midsummer in Wisconsin

Swedish American Historical Society of WI, Inc. celebrated 'Midsommar' on June 22. The sun came out just in time for the dancing and music.

  • A morning fog started the Wisconsin Midsommar
  • Swedish American Historical Society of WI, Inc. celebrated Midsommar at Old World Wisconsin at Eagle, WI. on Sunday, June 22nd. Through the morning fog and on to Midsommar we travelled. The fog cleared, but a canopy of clouds covered us as the majstang was decorated, flower crowns made and Kubb played. We raised the pole, danced about it and brought the sun to shine upon us for an afternoon of music and dance.
