Scandinavian Entertainment in the Midwest

The Nordic Council of Milwaukee organized the 2015 Scandinavian Festival with help from local chapters: the Swedish Linde Lodge 492; the Danish Sisterhood; the Finnish American Society; and the Sons of Norway Fosselyngen group.

  • Scandinavian Festival 2015 was attended by Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, Finns, maybe a Sami or two, and many others who may or may not claim any Scandinavian heritage. A few friends came all the way from Sweden to enjoy the day, which was full of food from each of the countries, many vendors selling new and unique items (more than a few Christmas gifts were purchased throughout the day), great raffle items, ethnic costumes and dancing, genealogy research and of course ABBA Salute, which was great fun to sing along with.
