'Norwegians like us'
Nordstjernan reported on this before but it can be said again: Our neighbors in the west really, really like us! The proof? Norwegians are buying more apartment houses in Sweden now than ever. In total 468 Swedish apartment houses – both residential, office buildings and commercial real estate – belong to Norwegians.
269 of them (or 57%) were bought after January 2006, according to statistics from Lantmäteriet (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority). Norwegians favor Västra Götaland, Jämtland and Värmland. In Arjeplog Municipality all of 41 apartment houses have Norwegian owners, and many of them are proud scooter owners, too.
Norway and Sweden a love story? Perhaps. Norwegians love our country enough to buy real estate there.
