The group's first test flight last summer had to be postponed due to technical issues with the rocket but clock is ticking for a launch this week.
Next manned space travel may be from Denmark.
Copenhagen Suborbitals hopes to launch the world's first amateur-built rocket for human space travel and have announced an upcoming launch window for their Tycho Brahe capsule between June 1-14.
The group, headed by Kristian von Bengtson and Peter Madsen, are preparing their HEAT 1-X rocket for launch from a steel catamaran off the coast of Denmark. According to their website they are currently planning for launch on June 2. If all goes well with this test flight, Madsen hopes to be inside the capsule himself for a manned flight in the near future.
