Deportation of criminal immigrants

Criminal immigrants in Denmark may in the future be deported if a new law is passed.

  All criminal immigrants are to be automatically deported, regardless of length of term.

• This according to a proposed bill that is currently being discussed in Folketinget (the Parliament) and that is expected to go through Friday, since both the Danish Social Democrats and the Socialist People’s Party are for it. However, experts warn that Denmark might be reported for breaking international conventions, should the law be passed.
