  • Located in the South of Market District, The Box SF is a chic venue with high ceilings and gorgeous woodwork. SACC-SF/SV and The Box SF owner, Mark E. Sackett, were proud to have Jamie Meyer perform for us. The evening started with a VIP reception where the attendees had the opportunity to meet Jamie. Attendees were also served a mouthwatering spread of appetizers and cocktails of vodka and mixers, provided by our sponsors Stockholm Krystal Vodka and Bionade.
After the reception mingling, Jamie prepared himself to get on stage, where he was accompanied by Simon Huber. The performance was successful and the audience was mesmerized by the musical talent. Jamie’s talent with the guitar and lovely voice and Simon on the guitar and cello made it a breathtaking performance. The songs accompanied by the cello were especially popular with the crowd. Jamie’s charm and sense of humor resonated with the audience and made the performance dynamic and intimate.
After the concert, SACC-SF/SV enjoyed more conversation with Jamie. He was happy the concert went well and that the audience seemed to enjoy it. This was Jamie’s first visit and concert in San Francisco, but he said he will definitely be back again and perform more gigs here.
He is currently living and working in Los Angeles.
Jamie released his debut album in 2003. Titled “It is All About Me,” the album received award nominations in Sweden for prizes like “Rockbjörnen” and NRJ Radio Music Awards. After a few years of touring around the world, Jamie released his second studio album called ”Great Big Chance” in 2008. He was named “Best singer/songwriter of the year” at the LA Music Awards that year.
SACC-SF/SV members who attended the concert were thrilled with the entire evening and said it was a memorable performance. They will keep an eye on this rising Swedish artist. If you couldn’t make it to this event make sure to attend our next one!
