Sunday October nineteenth a champagne reception was held at the San Francisco Public Library in the History Center to honor the three ladies responsible for keeping Vestkusten alive for the last 17 years. It was a gala occasion
attended by over 150 enthusiastic Bay Area Swedes who wanted to pay their respects to these stalwart ladies. Ted Olsson, grandson of Alexander Olsson the long time owner and publisher of Vestkusten, was the Master of Ceremonies. Consul General Barbro Osher, publisher of Vestkusten was introduced by Muriel Beroza, local historian of Swedish activities and member of the Library and Archives Committee.
