  Swedish movie star Malin Akerman has a part in Adam Shankman's upcoming star-studded film adaptation of the musical “Rock of Ages”. She will thus be working with Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Mary J Blige, Alec Baldwin, and Russell Brand.

• “Rock of Ages” takes place at the end of the 1980’s and centers on one of the hottest rock clubs in Los Angeles. Åkerman plays a journalist who is seduced by Stacee Jaxx, a charming but arrogant rock star at the height of his career, played by Tom Cruise. The shooting will begin in May and will hit the theaters in June 2012.
