The Nobel festivities took place this weekend in Stockholm (and in Oslo, where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented). Nordstjernan has already presented the winners, and for Swedes it was of course especially wonderful to have poet Tomas Tranströmer receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Everything, from the award ceremony to the evenening's banquet, was covered in real time through the service of SVT World. The Nobel celebrations are also great if you’re into fashion and it’s always fun to see what the Queen and the Princesses (this year, it was only Crown Princess Victoria, as Princess Madeleine was in New York, where she helped celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of Madame Marie Curie’s second Nobel prize) as well as others are wearing. Ebba von Sydow culled the most interesting ones on her blog, which you can find here: Photography: SVT/Scanpix/Ebbas blogg
