Crown Princess Victoria is not only the most popular royal in Sweden, she is the favorite princess in all of Europe. According to a poll made by the German weekly “Frau im Spiegel,” Victoria beat Duchess Kate of England. 1002 German women revealed their favorite princess, and Victoria was the winner. She is four times more popular than Norwegian Mette-Marit, and stylish Danish Crown Princess Mary came in sixth, somewhat surprisingly perhaps.

Here are the seven most popular European princesses:
1. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (she got 25 percent of the votes)
2. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (16 percent)
3. Crown Princess Máxima of the Netherlands (who, with 14 percent of the votes, will become Queen Consort of the Netherlands as Queen Beatrix abdicates on April 30)
4. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway (7 percent)
5. Crown Princess Letizia of Spain (3 percent)
6. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark (2 percent) and
7. Princess Charlene of Monaco, Princess Mathilde, Duchess of Brabant and Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg—all of whom got 1 percent of the votes.
