Sweden's pride, soccer sensation Zlatan Ibrahimovich, has been appointed Man of the Year (or "Homme de l'Annee") by the French fashion magazine GQ.

  • ”He’s been a key figure in France ever since he came here in July 2012,” the magazine writes, and adds that Ibrahimovic is seen as arrogant and provocative, but also fun, cool and spectacular. ”I hate ceremonies,” Ibrahimovic states in the interview in the French GQ, ”Because the thought of having to step up on stage and give a speech scares me. But I like the idea of being the Man of the Year, so for once I said yes. This means I’ll receive yet another trophy.” The cover of the French GQ shows a smiling Ibrahimovic dressed up in a suit.
