Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her 38th birthday on July 14. In honor of “Victoriaday,” a salute was fired from Skeppsholmen at noon, and she was celebrated at Solliden Palace on Öland, where the castle grounds were open to the public for the special day. More than 3,000 people gathered in the rain to celebrate the Crown Princess, where she gratefully received birthday tributes and singing of the birthday song, led by the King. The Queen, Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle was present for the afternoon festivities, then the entire royal family rode in a horse procession from Solliden Palace to a festival in which Swedish stars such as Sven Bertil Taube, Medina and Carola Häggkvist participated. The Crown Princess also presented the 2015 Victoria Scholarship to swimmer Sarah Sjostrom, who in 2014 secured her position as Sweden's best swimmer and an absolute world elite.
