Former Swedish PM to work for Bank of America

Former Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt goes from one top job to another.

  • Swedish Prime Minister has a new job
    Fredrik Reinfeldt has a new international position with Bank of America. On March 15 it was announced that he is now a senior advisor to the U.S. financial and insurance giant Bank of America Merrill Lynch and its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

  • "I look forward to analyzing the complicated geopolitical situation, particularly regarding the presidential elections in the United States and the risk of Brexit, migration to Europe and reform situation in the EU," he said. Reinfeldt served as prime minister of Sweden from 2006 to 2014 and was president of the European Council in 2009.
    "Fredrik Reinfeldt has been one of Europe’s most highly respected politicians in recent years," said Johan Lustig, the head of Nordic corporate and investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. "He will bring unique insight to our clients and colleagues and I look forward to working with him closely as we continue the development of our successful EMEA business."
