In Pennsylvania, the American Swedish Historical Museum is hosting a World Cup Watch Party in the air conditioned Josef Frank Gallery. A big screen projector and speaker system will supply the right ambience for the party and your ticket price includes admission to Midsommarfest right after the game. Cheer on the Swedish World Cup team then dance around the Maypole and enjoy the perfect summer evening on ASHM's terrace in FDR Park. Cash bar and food available for purchase. Tickets for these two events are $8/ASHM members, $12/adults and $5/ages 4-12.

In some areas Swedish and German expats join forces to watch the game.
The Embassies of Sweden and Germany and DC Stoddert Soccer are hosting a World Cup viewing party outdoors at the Swedish Residence Garden.

Gates will open at 1 p.m. (game starts at 2 p.m.) and close at 5 p.m. It's free and open to the public though registration is required, since the event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather (the weather does look a bit iffy!), and emails will be sent to registered attendees.
