Swedish House Mafia among Hot 100

The Swedish house music star trio is quickly climbing the American single hit list.

  • Swedish House Mafia, a Swedish electronic dance music trio consisting of three house disc jockeys and producers: Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, is quickly ascending the US top lists with their song “Don’t you worry child”. The group formed officially in late 2008.
  • The U.S. is the latest country to fall for the Swedish House Mafia. The Swedish star trio is quickly climbing the American single hit list with their “Don’t you worry child,” going from the 21st spot to 14th, then 12th (Dec. 26, 2012). This means the group has a chance to get to the top ten of the prestigious, hard-to-reach Billboards Hot 100 next week. It is Swedish House Mafia’s first top 100 and even though they’ve sold out at Madison Square Garden in New York, this is a great breakthrough even outside the borders of dance music. This fall, “Don’t you worry child” topped lists in Australia, Great Britain and Sweden. Don't you worry child (Live)

  • On June 24, 2012, it was announced through the group's website that their 2012-2013 tour would be their last. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine about the group's breakup, Angello said, "We just decided that we reached a point where we didn't know what the next move would be." The last leg of their final tour—appropriately named "One Last Tour"—will kick off in November 2012 and conclude in March 2013.

  • Having listened to the hit it makes us wonder if the design students we wrote about about a couple of years ago did indeed increase their repertoire and what we would look like wearing it while playing Swedish House Mafia tunes.. The dress that plays... Not black and not your usual little black dress but this creation is sure to raise some eye brows at your next party.
