Sweden Makes Music

Export Music Sweden and the Consulate General of Sweden in NYC presents a free music festival with live performances this weekend.

  • Come out to Baby's All Right, 146 Broadway (at Bedford Avenue) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to meet and listen to the sounds of the newest and brightest stars of Swedish music. The evening starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 for this Swedish music festival.   • Stockholm based Export Music Sweden was founded by the music industry to help artists, musicians and labels based in Sweden promote their music abroad.
  • Zhala
    Zhala was the very first artist signed to Robyn’s own label Konichiwa Records. She was nominated for a Swedish Grammy at age 11 and has also toured with Lykke Li.   • XOV
    XOV (Damian Ardestani) has had a remarkable life journey and is one of Sweden’s most promising emerging artists.   • Duvchi
    Duvchi's celebrated single ”Turtleduvs” landed on the Dazed & Confused Top Songs of 2011 and was voted Song of the Year by Swedish Radio P3.   • Silvana Imam
    Silvana Imam is a Swedish rapper and member of the hip hop collective RMH. She is signed to Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records and known for her music as well as her social and political activism.   • André Laos

  • The event, which is co-produced with Export Music Sweden and curated by Grandins Flying Circus, will also feature DJ sets by Jenny Seth, Miriam Brundin, Love Lagerberg and Peter Björklund.
