Nobis Hotel one of 50 best newcomers.

The only Nordic hotel on Travel + Leisure’s list of the 50 best new international hotels, “The Best New Hotels 2011”, is Nobis.

  The only Nordic hotel on Travel + Leisure’s list of the 50 best new international hotels, “The Best New Hotels 2011”, is Nobis Hotel at Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm. 12 of the 50 hotels are located in Europe. Travel + Leisure lists their hotels in different categories, and Nobis Hotel is in the City category (8 hotels are), which is topped by the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, and which features no other European hotels.

• Travel + Leisure writes: “Despite a color palette seemingly inspired by the Nordic winter (slate gray; stark white; deep brown), the latest hotel in Stockholm’s central square is far from icy.” The mini bars in all rooms are designed by Swedish star architects Claesson Kovisto Rune, and the Gold Bar is called “glamorous”. A double room at Nobis Hotel starts at $396.
