Yelp to Sweden

The social networking, user review and local search website is coming to Sweden.

  • Yelp (curiously pronounced exactly like the Swedish word for help, “hjälp”), the user review and local search website is coming to Sweden.
  • Yelp to Sweden.
Looking for a great sushi place? Want to find out where the best store to buy vintage jeans is located? Do what others who are in the know do—use Yelp.

  • If you’re in the U.S., chances are you already use the social networking, user review and local search website. Yelp.com has been around since 2004, and every month has about 66 million visitors. Now Yelp is coming to Sweden. “Many sites have reviews, but with us (here at Yelp) you need to post a review,” says Mirian Warren, the European director of Yelp. When the site is being launched in Sweden, it will compete with Eniro and Google, as well as with Rejta.se.
