Swedes: Best in English

Swedes seem to be doing better than any other nationality bar those born in an English speaking region.

  "We speak English!" Yes, the Swedes certainly do — and better than any others in Europe, according to the 2015 English Proficiency Index.

  Swedes are doing well in English. As a matter of fact, they seem to be doing better than any other nationality (barring those who speak English as their native language, of course). On the basis of a language test that 1.7 million prospective EF course participants in 54 countries took, Sweden came out on top, slightly ahead of people from Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland and Norway. It was the language school EF that conducted the test, which also showed women did better than men in almost all countries.
