Thumbs up for Swedish Bosses!

Swedish bosses are great at compliments according to a recent European survey by an online job market.

  • Thumbs up for Swedish bosses; they are the most appreciative in all of Europe.
  • Swedish bosses are the best in Europe at complimenting their employees, according to a poll. Forty-one percent of all Swedish employees get to hear how well they perform directly from their bosses, which is the highest number in all of Europe. The second most appreciative bosses are those in Denmark (38%) and the third most complimentary are in France (35%). Germany is where employees receive the least recognition. Only 19% of Germans say their work is recognised by their superiors.

  • The average for all of Europe is 26 percent, according to the poll which was made by the job site Stepstone, and involved 4,400 people filling out a form online. Seventy-four percent said they never or only rarely got to hear anything nice from their employers.
