Swedish artists at Sofiero

Traditional Swedish handmade objects playfully inspired by art, fashion and design are displayed at the palace this summer.

  • Sofiero Castle from its Gardens - once voted Europe's most beautiful park.
  • Swedish artists at Sofiero
An exhibit featuring Swedish artists opened on May 20 at Sofiero Castle in beautiful Helsingborg in southern Sweden. Called “New Swedish Craft,” the exhibit is described as a combination of the Arts and Crafts movement with an added bit of Swedish ingenuity.

  • Sofiero Castle, the original summer holiday home of Crown Prince Oscar and his wife Sophie of Nassau, who fell in love with the area on a holiday in 1864, has long been a favorite tourist attraction as well as a place of historical importance. The exhibit runs until September.

  • The exhibiting artists are Aia Jüdes, Frida Fjellman, Karin Frankenstein and Tomas Auran, Olle Olls, Pernilla Rozenberg, Julia Gamborg Nielsen, Johanna Hofring & Tor Söderin
