  • Sweden joins JET
Sweden joins the Joint Expeditionary Force (JET) led by Britain. Joining Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands and Norway, Sweden will bring two fighter planes to the JET force as well as prepare to provide combat and special forces protection. At a cost estimated to be $1.2 million per year, Defense Minister, Peter Hultkvist, cautions that this move is not to be seen as Sweden taking a closer step to joining NATO.
