Unemployment among women on the increase
Sweden is seeing an increase in unemployment for women.

While there are currently 193,000 unemployed men compared to 160,000 women, in the last year alone, there has been an increase of 5,000 women registered as jobless while the number of men without work has remained the same.

The country’s employment department says the increase comes from newly arrived and registered immigrants. Of all the 353,000 registered unemployed, close to 50 percent — that's 168,000 — were born outside Europe, an increase of 22,000 from last year.
