Ex-wife of Tiger Woods Elin’s new home in Forida. Swedish Social Democrats want to forbid buying sex abroad. Gaddafi hid billions in Sweden.

  • Elin’s new home
No little red cabin by the water for Elin Nordegren, ex-wife of pro golf superstar Tiger Woods. The former Swedish model recently purchased her own luxurious digs in North Palm Beach, Florida – and her new home isn’t far from where Tiger lives (due to a divorce settlement stipulation, they both live in close proximity so they can both be involved in their children’s lives). The two-story house Elin bought has 8 bathrooms, a 4,000-square feet basement, a pool and beach access. The home’s total square footage is 17,178 square feet. It was built in 1932 and Elin forked out $12.2 million for it. In December last year, Elin purchased a home in Sweden.

  • Social Democrats want to forbid buying sex abroad
The Social Democrats want the buying of sex abroad – even in countries where it is legal – to be considered criminal. “What it means is that we mark strongly that international sex trade is not acceptable whether it takes place in Sweden or abroad,” says Anna Wallén, a Social Democratic member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Administration of Justice. This law already exists in Norway.

  • Gaddafi hid billions in Sweden
The Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi hid over 10 million SEK ($1,585,239,350.62) in Sweden, which the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) has now frozen. This follows a EU decision to impose economic sanctions against the Libyan regime, based on a United Nations Security Council resolution. "We cannot comment on where they (the assets) are and what type of assets are involved," FSA spokesman Jonatan Holst told the daily, citing bank secrecy laws. Foreign Minister Carl Bildt told Dagens Nyheter that he was surprised by the amount of Libyan assets that have been found in Sweden.
