Kicking off the Christmas bazaars

Linné Lodge's 39th annual Scandinavian Import & Gift Sale on Nov. 18 starts the Christmas season in the Northeast with ample opportunities to fill up on holiday needs.

  • There are about 1,100 Vasa members in New Jersey alone, but Linné Lodge's annual Scandinavian Import and Gift Sale also attracts hundreds of people who have absolutely no Scandinavian ancestry and visitors from all of New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

  • The doors open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (admission free). A light lunch is served at 11 a.m. (cash and checks accepted) on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Salt Brook School, 40 Maple St., New Providence, NJ, which is due west of and 45 minutes by car from NYC.
