A kudos for volunteers

Every volunteer, spending time and effort, is a piece of the puzzle that is Swedish America at Christmas.

• Philadelphia’s American Swedish Historical Museum, right, has a group of volunteers that puts on a fun and delicious julbord (Swedish Christmas table) every year. This year's julbord was November 30 but there are several other similar event all over Swedish America - see Christmas in Swedish America 2018 - we'll be at Boston's Yuletide on Dec. 8, several events in NYC and will also try to join the museum in Philadelphia for the Museum Tour and Glögg Tasting on Dec. 27 ...

• Volunteers are what make most events possible. That’s true for a lot of places, and wherever you end up enjoying a Swedish Christmas or are shopping for the holidays, be it a lodge, church, SWEA or community market, bear in mind the many volunteers that make it possible for everyone else.
